2021: A Monologue + 10 Tips Going into 2022

2021: A Monologue + 10 Tips Going into 2022

2022 is here! But for the final day of the year, I’ve put together a monologue of my personal life experiences from the year that I hope can be an inspiration for you or others + 10 tips/things I’ve learned in relatively recent history to potentially help you along your own path of growth, expansion, and of stepping into the unknown. I hope your year was full of awesomeness, no matter what life threw your way this year! Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! Time to follow your soul!

The Grieving Process of Letting Go of the Former Self

The Grieving Process of Letting Go of the Former Self

Have you ever felt like you’ve broken up with yourself? Just like any other break-up, often times a grieving process comes right along with it. Perhaps over the years you’ve created an identity, set of routines, or integrated aspects that worked for awhile, or maybe weren’t truly the best for you. But all the sudden, you start to get the nudges (or loud epiphanies) that it’s time to move forward, yet stepping into the new (and as exciting as that may be) can bring about a lot of pain, fear, sadness, and uncertainty, making it feel very difficult to actually embrace it.

Adrenaline and the Present Moment

Adrenaline and the Present Moment

Thunderstorms! Adrenaline! Full, present-moment embodiment, say what?! This week I reflect on a personal experience infused with my love for thunderstorms, and how it was a reminder of what it truly feels like to be mentally present and physically grounded. So often we can find our minds wandering off, taking us out of the present and worried about the future or circumstances of the past, which in the end, robs us of being fully engaged with what’s happening in the now.

Pressure Overload: How to Release the Internalized Pressure of Expectations

Pressure Overload: How to Release the Internalized Pressure of Expectations

In this ever-changing society, it seems as things shift, more and more people are feeling either disconnected from their soul essence, or they’re finding themselves starting over at times in their lives they wouldn’t expect. Trust me, if that resonates for you AT ALL, I’ve been there and have been living that transition for awhile now. However, with all those questions about “life purpose” or maybe having feelings of “I’m not where I’m supposed to be,” a lot of pressure may accompany those feelings. What can you do to alleviate that a bit so you can enjoy the process, no matter how confusing or uncertain it may be?

Negative vs. Positive Self Talk: Who’s Running the Show + 5 Ways to Recalibrate

Negative vs. Positive Self Talk: Who’s Running the Show + 5 Ways to Recalibrate

It can be so easy to get in our own way and sometimes not even know it, even if you’re a generally positive person. How we talk to ourselves can make a huge difference in how we perceive our reality and what we think is possible, but sometimes it’s not as simple as just telling yourself positive affirmations (although I agree this can help and be a good starting point!). Facing and transcending past experiences and limiting beliefs can do wonders for your healing, but where do you start?

The Sneaky Energy of Validation Seeking

The Sneaky Energy of Validation Seeking

We all move through the world in different ways, but for whatever reason, SO MANY OF US end up making choices by seeking for validation and may not even know it. Why is that?? Instead of following our own personal truths about what directions and choices are best for our lives (which in turn end up being more beneficial for the collective when living from soul authenticity), we end up going down a trail of making choices that we perceive will make other people happy, even when your soul knows you have things to do that may not make sense to them.

Happy 2021! A Quick Message About Setting Intentions!

Happy 2021! A Quick Message About Setting Intentions!

Happy 2021! Obviously 2020 is probably on the short list of least favorite years for many people. Having said that, each year it is ever popular to be setting intentions on January 1st (aka “New Years Resolutions”). But as the days come and go, don’t forget that you, my friend, have the power to manifest your intentions and reality. Don’t give your power away to a calendar change (but doesn’t mean we still can’t celebrate!)

Can You Give Yourself Permission to Shift?

Can You Give Yourself Permission to Shift?

Shifting from one version of ourselves into the “more ideal” projected version of how we perceive we want to be can be a challenge. It is guaranteed to make you grow, but so much of growth comes from letting go of the old. Sometimes it’s even scary to give ourselves permission to shift into the newer version of ourselves that we actually want to be, yet we often trip ourselves up from embodying that fully. In my experience, a lot of this starts with not only self-awareness of current patterns, but also giving yourself the permission to make those changes.

New Identity (or Lack of)

New Identity (or Lack of)

How we identify ourselves (based on years and years of conditioning and life experience), in essence is just a construct that helps us navigate the world and helps us tell others who we are, what we do, etc. But what happens when we start attaching ourselves to versions of ourselves that no longer work for us? What happens if you realize that everything you have learned to this point has made you into someone that lives “in a box” of what you identify yourself as? Can you detach and create a new identity (or a flexible one)?

Spiritual Awakening: Unraveling the Conditioning Part 2

In part 1 of Spiritual Awakening: Unraveling the Conditioning, I spoke about my own personal experiences with what it has felt like to navigate the jungle that is the awakening and enlightenment process. In the 2nd and final part of this mini series, I touch on a couple more experiences, and offer a few tips of practices or routines you can try to integrate to your own life in order to help you navigate what could be a confusing time for you!
